Yes of course a combination of meperidine and phenergan will make you sleepy. They both have a sedative affect and when combined, the effect is even greater.
Certainly don't drive or do anything that is hazardous or requires critical judgment.
Better "safe than sorry".If Mepergan takes care of your discomfort ? Should be your priority.
