Question: Shuldi remove my arm cast off by soaking?
i had fractured by falling off a bike n breaking my radius n ulna bone last month on 17th feb n had doctors perform closed reduction ....healing time was 5 weeks or 35 days....well its 28th mrch n its 40days....n my arm feels perfectly fine except for slight stiffness n slight pain ...i visited d doctor on sunday (yesterday 27th march)....well he wasent ther n nurses told me he was on vacation n wont be coming for 2weeks ,,now im really frustrated because my exams r coming up in 3days n i cant write ......now i can go to another doctor coz the insurance guys wont cover me...so wat shuld i do?....soak it? its a normal plaster of paris cast

Answers:

You wouldn't be able to write with it anyway, not after 5 weeks in a cast. I'm sorry to break that news to you.
"Soaking" it off is not your best option. Just wait it out, OR, ask if your doc has a covering physician, which he should.
And hopefully you can start some out-patient therapy to regain the flexibility and use of your arm and hand.

Yeah soak it and ya night have to cut it too.. But it ll be fine i took my one off after 2 weeks :)
