Nursing Camps?!

Nursing Camps?

I am in 10th grade and am thinking about going to college for nursing but I am not sure its what I want to do. I was wondering if anyone have heard of any nursing camps for high schoolers. (I live in Louisiana) Also, what college has the best nursing program?

I haven't heard of any 'nursing camps' but there are other opportunities for you to see if nursing is right for you! Consider volunteering at a local hospital or nursing home. This gives you the chance to observe the nurses, see what they do, and help out some patients. Also you might see if a hospital will let you shadow a nurse for a day so you can get a better idea of what they do. Nursing is a challenging but rewarding profession!
As for which college has the best nursing program- there are so many schools with great nursing programs, choose the one that you feel is best for you. It also depends on if you would like to get your bachelors degree (4 yrs) or associates degree (2 yrs). My recommendation would be to explore all your options and think about what you would like to do as a nurse. I believe University of Washington (in Seattle) is currently ranked as the number 1 nursing school in the country, but there are so many other options.
