Two truck accident injuries?!

Question:

Two truck accident injuries?

I put down that his face was cut by the shattered windshield glass and that his face was burned by gasses in the airbag. What are some other injuries and how would they occur? i.e. face cut because of windshield glass. Please help!

Answers:

Possible injuries in a truck accident:

Assuming Seat Belt and Airbags
Broken Collar Bone - Seat Belts are wonderful at doing this
Broken Ribs - Airbag
Broken Nose - Airbag
Broken Femur - Oftentimes, the force of an accident is transferred into the legs and can cause the femur to break. You can bleed out and die from this very easily.
Broken Radius/Ulna Bones - From putting your arms in front of the airbag.

Assuming there was no airbag and the seatbelt wasn't being used:
Ejection - Thrown through the windshield. Usually results in death/decapitation.
Cervical Spine Injury (Broken Neck) - Hitting the steering wheel head first.
Cardiac Arrest - Force of the body hitting against a steering wheel is often enough to send someone into full arrest.
Lumbar Spine Injury - if the body bends in the wrong direction in the lower back, you can seriously damage your lumbar spine, which controls all lower leg function.
Partial thickness/Full thickness burns - The problem with trucks is that they carry all different things. They don't crash well either. So a lot of times, patients get trapped inside, and many times they set on fire.
Flail Chest - This is when several ribs break, and they move in and out of the rib cage with the rhythm of breathing.
Pneumothorax/Tension Pneumothorax - This is a collapsed lung, and happens when a body slams into a steering wheel. When air builds up in the pleural space (space between the chest wall and lung), often caused by a piercing injury, the pressure collapses one or both lungs, and requires a special needle inserted into the chest to relieve the pressure.

I omitted anything involving lacerations because you mentioned them.

That might be gory to read, but i've seen it all in real life.
