Tremors in hands...?!

Question:

Tremors in hands...?

Every so often, I get tremors in my hands, and I start to feel jittery. Actually, it feels like my blood sugar is low, but I've checked it the last 5 or 6 times, and it's been normal and consistent. I don't have any other symptoms. I've tried to pinpoint what causes it, whether it's stress, exercise, caffeine.. but there aren't any consistencies that I can see. It only affects my hands. I thought it might be a sodium deficiency, because it seems to get better if I eat a lot of salt or take a salt pill, but when I did some research, my symptoms aren't really consistent with a sodium deficiency (which is quite serious, from what I can gather). I'm planning to bring it up with my doctor next time I go, but wanted to get some input from anyone else who might have gone through this. Thanks!!!

No, I'm not diabetic - my blood sugar stays consistent at 85-95. No history of diabetes anywhere in my family, no precursors. I check it because my fiance has a tendency for his to be low, so we've got the little machine at the house.

Check your meds, I know some can cause side affects like that. One way to help counter that is taking vitamin e. I cant remember what it is called... but we put our kids on the vitamin when we put them on certain meds just to prefent that from happening. It had to do with toxic levels of the med building up in there system.

So when you take the salt it may not be the salt helping, it may be all the extra fluid you are getting in your system. That will help flush your system and may lower the toxic levels.

When our kids are haveing a bad time we will ask them to hold there hands out in front of them and keep them still. If shakeing then we tell the dr so they can adjust something or tell us to keep an eye on them.

I dont know if that even helps or not. You can google your med names one at a time and the vitimin E and see what comes up.
