Question about glycogen?!

Question:

Question about glycogen?

If we can't store glycogen ourselves then how does it release into our bodies?I have a sense if we do have glycogen it stores in the liver but if it can't store it in the liver, what happens? Does it really turn into carbohydrates then releases as that?I am trying to better understand this myself.

Answers:

glycogen is stored in the liver. you will always store it in your liver and it will be released as needed and as long as you still eat food you will continue to make stores.
it isnt released and then turned into carbs.
sugar is a carb, but glycogen is used only when the body is looking for an energy source, therefore if you have enough food intake it will not be released, only in between meals or during a fast will it release.
