How to get a hooked cactus thorn out of leg? (DEEP!)?!

Question: How to get a hooked cactus thorn out of leg? (DEEP!)?
Okay, so we live in Tucson, Arizona (Hence the cactus) and my sister and I were out running in a wash and she got cactus in her.
Usually we just pull it out because we are used to getting cactus embedded in our skin, but not only did she get a cactus thorn the has small hooked edges in her skin, but it also went REALLY DEEP! Not just on the surface of her skin, but like, one inch+ into her skin.
How should she get it out? I don't think our parents will let her go to the doctors because we are the kind of family that usually only goes to the doctor as a last option, and I am sure my Dad will just say 'suck it up and pull it out or I will for you' and stuff...
HELP!

Answers:

I have no experience in this myself but i looked a few things up:
- Soaking in water, and pulling out with tweezers (it might be too far in for that)
- Very gently place adhesive take over them and then lift them out
- Use Duct tape/scotch tape & tweezers
- Put white glue over it and let it dry, then peel it off; the cactus should come out with it
- Clay dirt, very dry, sprinkle on and wait a bit, then dampen, wait awhile longer, then shower off, and the clay should suck out everything
- Use alcohol and tweezers.

~Hopefully this will help. Like I said before, I have no experience with this, this is just information that I have looked up to help. I hope they all get out soon. I hope this works. Good Luck!!~
