Is A Few Hours a Week Fine Out In the Sun?!

Question:

Is A Few Hours a Week Fine Out In the Sun?

It seems every where I look these days the sun is the devil. It's okay to spend about 4-5 hours total outside a week in the sun isn't it? And getting a little color while I'm at it. I don't burn as I just get darker, this can't be to bad can it? It's just an average of about 1 hour a day at the pool.

Answers:

going outside and getting some sun is actually healthy for certain vitamins i am not sure i think it is K can only be released and absorbed when the skin is exposed to sunlight.

If you are going to the pool and laying out you should be wearing sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, A tan in of it self is not too bad but like the prev answer over time damage can add up. A sun burn is erythema (sp?) basically radiation damage and can be very serious. You need to be very care full. The important thing is to enjoy the sun in moderation
