Good Sneakers for Waiters?!

Question:

Good Sneakers for Waiters?

I recently became a waiter, and was glad to find out that my plain black sneakers that I already owned were the sneakers I needed to meet the dress code at the establishment I chose to work at. While my current New Balance sneakers are great for everyday use, they suck for doing a job where I stand on my feet all day. I purchased some Dr. Scholls Gel Inserts, and was pretty disappointed as they did not add much comfort and relief for my feet. I went and tried on some Dr. Scholls sneakers today and was disappointed yet again at the lack of cushion and bounce in the sneakers.

So, if it isn't obvious at this point, my question is, does anyone know of some good, comfortable sneakers I can purchase to help with the aches and pains in my feet? I need something that comes in all black, has lots of padding, and won't leave me feeling like I just walked in a theme park for 12 hours after a few hours of work. Slip resistance is a plus, but not a requirement.

Thanks in advance!

Answers:

If you know anyone that can get you military shoes. That's what my husband did when he was a waiter. That helped a lot. Or just get a good walking shoe.
