Would skipping a night's sleep to reset my body clock be a good idea?!

Question: Would skipping a night's sleep to reset my body clock be a good idea?
I've always been a night owl but this is just getting out of hand. I'm a student and when I don't have to be up for any lectures in the morning I usually go to bed around 3/4am but recently it has started to slip back even further to as late/early as 6am, meaning I wake up around 3pm. I could quite easily skip a night's sleep at this point. Would this be a good idea? Anyone ever done this before to reset their body clock? Or should I just try going to sleep earlier, like 2/3am when I'm not tired? I don't have anything that I need to concentrate for tomorrow.

Thanks.

I had that problem and it's crazy how fast time flies but honestly when I skipped a night it actually does help beacause then the next day you will be tired at an earlier time!

Skipping an entire sleep cycle may be unnecessary. You could easily just set your alarm to wake you up early on a few consecutive days and don't let yourself fall asleep until you approach the new bed time you want. If you make your body follow the routine, it'll become easier. Though you will still have to resist the temptation to stay up late :)

I'm a fellow night owl whose bed time always seems to slip later into the night

If you wake up about 3/4 am than maybe you should try to go to sleep about 8:30 pm. Because everyone Is supposed to have atleast 8 hours of sleep so I suggest you sleep at 8:30 :) hope my anwser helps
