I dont believe because what does it mean by haveing a ring on your hand to tell the world your mayerd or knowing that you and your love know why do it just so the ''man'' knows!

It's not really the "man" that is keeping tabs on marriage, there are practical reasons for marriage, including benefits for insurance and if you aren't married and your significant other is in a coma or unable to communicate while in the hospital you have no rights, you may not even be able to see him/her.
My husband and I were together for a long time before we were married, we had a child out of wedlock and we never felt guilty or like we needed to have a marriage certificate to show how much we loved each other. However, it was a wonderful day when we were able to stand in front of our family and friends and show them how much we loved each other and how committed we were. And then we were able to celebrate our love at our reception.
At 14 you shouldn't say you will never get married, but you can question the institution of marriage. So many marriages end badly and it seems like people jump in too quickly these days. If marriage doesn't mean anything to you then you are wise to avoid it. But you never know you may change your mind as you grow.
