Body cast - help???
have a 7 yr old nephew. in body cast after surgery.
in minnesota heat with 90 plus degrees
ideas to keep itching and frustartion to minimun??

I've not had a full body cast, but I did have a full leg cast (up the thigh) when I broke my leg. I found that medicated itch powder (even baby powder) worked well - I shook some between the cast and my leg. It itches because of the sweating taking place when the skin can't breathe. I also used a metal coat hanger that had been extended - with cotton taped around the end to avoid scratching and irritating my skin - THAT really helped!!
