Is it me or...?

Every time I'm either sick or injured and my parents make me take medicine: syrup, pils, Airborne, ect. it never seems to work. It says on pills I take for a cold or a sore throat that it relieves sinus pressure, stuffy nose, gives you energy, ect. IT NEVER WORKS!! On any kind of pill or medication I take, no matter what brand it is, I have noticed that it still takes me just as long to recover, even if I hadn't been taking medication. I also feel sick and tired with a plugged up nose and soar throat after those pills that supposively get rid of your sick feeling for about 5-12 hours. Is this me, or is this just BS?
