I was rear-ended this morning. Is there anything I can do at this point to avoid!

Question: I was rear-ended this morning. Is there anything I can do at this point to avoid further injury/whiplash?
I mean after the fact. I don't want to deal with doctors even though the State Trooper ruled it was the other driver's fault.

Answers:

if you're going to get whiplash you will get it regardless, because the damage will have already been done. You won't notice whiplash for a few days and even then it starts off as a bit of an ache in your back or neck, which gradually gets worse.

If you are going to be after compensation, for your injuries, you will eventually have to go the doctors to get it down on you medical notes that you are suffering from it. also you might need physiotherapy to try to ease it.

I really, really hope you don't get it as it is very painful for a long time.

Suffered for 18 months with whiplash.

EDIT on the day of my accident I did have a pain in the side of my neck but this was not whiplash, go online and look it up, true whiplash comes on after a few days.

& they may just hate you because of it;; you NEED to see a doc, whether this guy was @ fault or you were..you NEED to make sure that nothing is wrong nor will produce problems for you later in life...can't see what's going on & pain/no pain is truly no indicator of the 'damage' it could have caused you....get over your hatred, make sure you do not guard the area of concern & get a specialist..truly..you're being ignorant by NOT seeing one right now...

If you're not feeling it now, you're probably in the clear. Best thing to do is to religiously take ibuprofen for several days (three times a day, recommended dose) to help prevent any soreness or pain that might arise.

My daughter in law had a car accident last night ; and she knew right away she had a whip lash ; so if your neck is not sore or [ hurting ] ; well ; You are ok ;; NO whiplash
