Its 12:10 here. not supposed to have any food or water passed midnight.

im thirsty! would it hurt to drink anything?

Ten minutes isn't all that long, but they give you pre-op instructions for a reason... Follow your doctor's orders, he/she knows best. You don't want to compromise your surgery in any way, now do you?
