I just had surgery for torn miniscus and they found broken bone in there.how long to heal?

Also shouldn't it shown up in xrays and MRI?

A broken bone will not always show up on an x-ray, if the break is very tiny the only diagnostic test that would show it would be a bone scan so it's not unusual that they found it during a seperate surgery. A broken bone usually takes 4-6 weeks to heal, but it all depends on the person and how well they care for it. As for the meniscus tear, I had one repaired 2 years ago. I was on crutches for about 2 months, and then had to go to physical therapy. It took a while before I was completely healed, and all of my strength still isn't back - but I also had tissue removed. Once again, your healing time is going to depend on how well you care for it, and what exactly your surgery consisted of. Good luck, hope you feel better.
