I have this pain on my right lower back and it shoots down to my right leg, what!
Question:
I have this pain on my right lower back and it shoots down to my right leg, what could it be?
Age: 24
Previous Activities: Irregular cardio excercise, I lift a big screen t.v. couple days ago.
Symptoms:
I been experiencing this for about a week and it doesn't seem to be going away even with pain killers. It hurts when I sleep and my leg feels numb sometimes and occasional headaches with it. Any advice on how to take care of this problem?

Definately sciatic nerve pain, and it does not normally go away on it's own unless you stop using it, and that is not very easy to do because of it's location. IF you have previously taken anti-inflammatory medication with no ill side effects they will help. Aleve is better than tylenol or ibuprofen in this case. If it is not better after resting and anti-inflammatory you need to consult a doctor.
