Coughing and cereals to avoid?!

Question:

Coughing and cereals to avoid?

Hi all, I've had a cough for about 1 week now and its slowly going away, but still there

What kind of cereals should I avoid eating? I typically eat Cinnamon toast crunch, honey bunches of oats, froot loops, maple/syrup frostd mini wheats, apple jacks, and cocoa krispies, and oh yeah, golden crisp.

will eating these cereals make my cough worse? also do u recommend warm milk over cold milk? thank you.

Answers:

Are you saying that the cold milk makes your cough worse? I suppose that can happen if the cold irritates your trachea or esophagus. Try it warm, can't hurt.

As for cereals, as a general rule, stick with ones that have 10 grams of sugar or less per serving and more than 5 grams of fiber and protein. Good ones are Special K, Cheerios, etc. (all of the ones you're not eating, lol)
