One Constant Headache for Four Days Straight?!

Question:

One Constant Headache for Four Days Straight?

Hubby has a constant headache for four days now...he says it feels like there is a crown or halo of pain around the top of his head as if he is wearing something on his head. Nothing has help so far....any suggestions? Info to back it up too please would be nice. And yes he has been to the doctor so please don't say...see a doctor.

Answers:

Yuck, poor guy. I suffer from migraines and I have had them last for days before. Sometimes it feels like someone is squeezing my head in a vice. Some of the other symptoms are nausea, sensitivity to light, and little spots in front of your eyes. None of the medicine my Doctor has prescribed has ever helped me, but a lot of people get relief from Immitrex, Relpax or Excedrin Migraine (which is OTC). The things that do help me are laying in a very quiet, very dark room, a cold pack on my head, and (this one sounds kinda weird, but it works) a cold wet cloth that I hold really tight over my eyes. I have had to go to the e.r. and get shots of painkillers before in extreme cases. If it lasts much longer and nothing else helps he may have to consider that, because he's got to be completely miserable. I hope something helps him soon!
