I was stung for the first time by a wasp a week ago, can a wasp sting affect your joints, primarily my shoulders and knees

Yes! Wasp venom can cause joint pain. This is an allergic reaction. If you are stung again, the reaction is likely to be even more dramatic and even life-threatening. Please see a physician about this NOW and ask about getting an Epi-Pen to carry. Interestingly, people who are allergic to wasps are almost never allergic to bees.
