I always have earache.My hearing is going i cant hear very well dint want to have hearing aid please help me?
My ear is always hurting idont wish to have hearing aid ..is ther any other option or any other treatment for my ear ?please help me as i work in school with younger children.

Most conditions of the ear that are painful are treatable with either antibiotics or minor surgery.
If you are losing your hearing as well it may be a wax build-up or, more likely, congestion behind your eardrum in your middle ear, a condition very common in children (glue ear). If this is the case you may need to have grommets put in (a very simple operation).
Permanent hearing losses for which the only option is a hearing aid are usually (but not always) caused by damage to the inner ear and would not be painful.
You need to ask your GP to firstly check for anything obvious, like wax, if not then to refer you to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. Its extremely, extremely unlikely, but if you have a cholesteatoma the consequences can be serious
