I accidentally dropped a small tablet I was meant to take...?!

Question: I accidentally dropped a small tablet I was meant to take...?
I quickly picked it up (I just cleaned my hands and quickly swallowed it) as I panicked. I'm on antibiotics so I can't afford to miss a single tablet. Was this dangerous for me to do? Will I get sick from this? I know that it can pick up germs immediatly after hitting the ground, but as I said I panicked and took it anyways. It's a very small tablet. What will happen? Will I be fine?
(Antibiotics tend to flush bad things out anyways...will this be the same for any possible bacteria on the tablet?)

Answers:

You will be fine. From your question you sound as if you are preoccupied with cleanliness, there is such a thing as being to clean. It is not good for the immune system to be obsessed with cleanliness and this leaves you vulnerable to all kinds of infections. Be clean but don't go overboard.

Unless it fell into some dog muck, you'll be fine. It won't have picked up much assuming it was still dry. If it was a bit wet it will have picked up more, but nothing your body won't cope with.

Tons of people do much more disgusting things all the time... don't worry, your immune system is not that weak unless you have some sort of severe condition that weakens it... which I'm pretty sure you don't

It will not harm you in any way at all. I have done the same a hundred times.

You. Will. Be. Fine.

Unless it got coated in dog poo, it will be fine.

pick it up and it will be fine, life goes on

i do that all the time and i dont get sick so yes u will be ok

no i think you will be ok
