Are therer any foundations or other organizations to help families in need?

I'm currently working in South Korea. My father-in-law, while riding his bicycle, was hit by a car on May 13th, 2007 in Beijing. In China, if you don't have money you don't get help even if somebody else should be paying the bill. I have been trying to help by sending my wife to China several times to be with her family and giving money to the family to give to the hospital. But I am coming to the end of my financial rope. The last request of the hospital will probably drain the last of my resources. I have student loans and my wife has a house payment. I am now considering applying for a hardship deferment on my loan so I can give more money to the hospital. I'm doing everything in my power to save my father-in-law but it just won't be enough.

Please, if you can point me to someone who can help us, I would owe you my life!!!

Thank you for your response. I don't think that any of these will help us as he is a Chinese citizen. I have been talking to my pastors and have kept them informed about what is going on.

I guess I am hoping that we can raise enough money through our website and any other means to cover the bills. I have even tried writing Oprah to see if she might help.

You need to speak to church leaders. They would know something about this sort of thing, surely.
