Why do doctors always give an adrenalin injection, whenever a person is attacked!

Question:

Why do doctors always give an adrenalin injection, whenever a person is attacked by an animal?

i have seen twice on the discovery that whenever a person is bitten by a crocodile or some humming bee etc, the doctors immediately give them a adrenalin injection? why so? what function does this adrenalin do?

Answers:

Well, I've never heard of that.

U give adrenaline (epinephrine) injection in cases of insect bites (only when they cause anaphylactic reaction)

Or u give it if there is laryngeal or bronchospasm.

Or in case of anaphylactic reaction towards any drug, say penicillin.

The only rationale behind giving adrenaline would be in case of excessive BLEEDING. Adrenaline causes heart to beat faster and more stronlgy, and the veins to constrict, become narrower, which would make perfusion of tissues by blood better.

Hope this clears the doubt.

Bye. TC.

PS: anaphylactic reaction involves dilatation (becoming broader) of the capillaries because of which fluid (plasma) seeps into the tissues and results in their swelling (edema), which interferes mostly with breathing, and perusion of the various organs because of a low BP.
