My Throat? Whats wrong? Should I stay home from school?
I woke up in the middle of the night and my throat was killing me. My dad wakes me up this morning for school and its still killing me.
I went to the bathroom and looked in my mouth. My tunssells are really red and not only that, I have bumps on the back of my tounge and I dont know what this is. What is it and what should I do?
Answers:
Sounds like you may have tonsillitis and/or possibly strep throat. Strep is very contagious and needs to be treated with antibiotics. I think you should stay home from school, and if your throat isn't better in a day or two, get dad to take you to the doc and have a throat culture done. Gargle with warm salt water. Since you're school age, please DO NOT take aspirin.
