Broken my toe, how long should I be off work?

Hi, I have broken my toe and wasn't sure how long I should be off work. I didn't think to ask at A&E. I broke it on Sunday and have stayed at home this week with the intention of returning on Monday. Is that too soon? I am a Nursery Nurse so I'm quite active all day. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for all the rapid replies, it is my little toe, the bone that is broken is inside my foot more than my actual toe, and it hurts when I walk on it, it's also still swollen and the top of my foot is very bruised. I have to drive to work, which is what I'm worried about too, as there is no-way i could get a shoe on at the moment. They strapped it to the next toe at the hospital, which helps. thanks again.

I broke my toe when I was in school. My mum is a nurse, worked in theater, and she had me go back to school the next day.
