I have an ingrown toenail from being up on pointe in ballet. I just got it a few days ago after the dance recital. Now it is bruised and I didn't hit it on anything. What do I do? And why is it bruised?

It's bruised because of being on pointe, but that's something that's a part of being in ballet. Use ice and Advil/Aleve for the pain. If the nail is painful, go see your nearest podiatrist to evaluate your nail. The side or tip of the nail may need to be temporarily removed to take the pain. The bruise itself will take about a week to go away. Hope this helps!
