Sunburn help!?!
Question:
Sunburn help!?
I'm pretty pale, and today I was stupid enough to lay out in the sun for a while trying to get a little bit of some color on my skin. Even though i used an SPF 15 sunscreen, i'm still pretty burnt on my shoulders and upper back. I've taken advil for pain, and have been putting aloe on liberally every hour or so. I've also tried putting some white vinegar with cold water on a rag and putting it on my skin.
I'm more concerned with keeping my skin moisturized than trying to "get rid" of the burn or prevent peeling. Any other suggestions?
Answers:
Aloe vera and vit E are good methods for moisture, I have also heard that pure sunflower oil is excellent for all types of burns. As far as pain try solarcaine....my children burn really easy as well....please use at least a 25spf....you can still get a moderate tan....but always use at least a 35 on more delicate areas....nose, forehead, cheaks, shoulders.....have fun in the sun
