Pains in either side of the lower spine?
Hiya, can pains that are on either side of the lower spine be related to your kidneys? like your needing to drink more, or is it usually muscular? i do know i need to drink more, but i seem to get those pains in the evening through the night, then they are away again in the morning, been like that, the passed week.

Yes it could be the kidneys and drinking more water would help in that case!
You could also have an infection which needs to be treated with antibiotics - so if it doesn't get better with the extra water you should definitely go and see your GP!
It is hard to know exactly without seeing where the pain is - because sciatica can also give you back pain for example!
But in your case it does sound like it could well be the kidneys especially if you aren't drinking enough water!
