2nd degree burn?!
Question:
2nd degree burn?
So my hair straightner was on the highest heat, 30.
I bent down to pick up something.
The straightner fell on my arm.
now I have 2nd degree burns on my arm.
I've been warned many times by 2 different nurses not to pop the bubble that has inflated on my arm because it could cause infection. I am about to get a needle and pop it anyway...it's making me twitch and shiver.
What in the hell should I do?
Answers:
DO NOT pop the blister as it WILL be a entry point for an infection to occur. You need to keep a sterile dressing such as 4 inch by 4 inch guaze pad on the burn and then wrap that with an Ace bandage.
