Why do mosquitoes only seem to bite my ankles?!

Why do mosquitoes only seem to bite my ankles?
Its puzzling. I have 40+ bites, all on my ankles. any ideas?
bonus question:
if i smoke weed, does the mosquito get high off my blood?
what about if i drink alcohol?
