I have to file a claim for an injury...just a few questions?!

Question:

I have to file a claim for an injury...just a few questions?

January I tore my acl at an NHL game. I was getting to my seat and while stepping up my knee twisted and snapped. I just had reconstructive acl surgery and the costs are starting to add up. When I'm done with therapy the total will be around 700 dollars. I filed an injury report when it happened and they know about it. Question is, what are my chances of them paying me the 700 dollars. I have great insurance and what I've paid is just copays and my 2 therapy visits. I've talked to insurance company and they're going to send me my claim history and everything I've paid in, and that's what I'm going to send. Thanks :)

There were 2 rather large gentlemen at the end of my row who weren't able to get up and let me through, and the other end was blocked off by a security bar.

Since there were empty seats I feel they should have moved these men to a less full row. Since no usher helped me to my seat, I feel this is where the negligence was.

If 700 is not that much to you, then feel free to pay my bill and brown bag it for lunch this month.

thank you for all the responses

Answers:

If it happened the way you said, I don't see any responsibility on their part to pay. Usually you would have to show a safety issue, object on floor, negligence etc. Something to show they were at fault. You can always try, but don't hold your breath. Will cost more to fight it. My advice would be, rehab and heal. Concentrate on getting better, and forget it. Just be thankful you had insurance. Good Luck & Hope You Feel Better Soon!
