Is a hematoma a chronic condition? I've had one since April 19th under my armpit (it was caused by liposuction). It is still painful and swollen. It causes me pain daily and nightly.

A hematoma is not a chronic condition. It sounds like this hematoma may be large and it's taking your body a long time to resorb it. Please go see your surgeon about this to see if this needs to be removed because hematoma can act as a place where bacteria like to hang out and cause infection.
