Can my work sack me over this?

i've been off with a frozen shoulder for 4 weeks now. Although the pain is away, the doctor has said my job wil aggrevate it as i do heavy lifting alot. i asked my work twice to move me to another department which they wont. Now today, i have a meeting in work with the occupational health nurse. Should i get another sick line from the doc or go to work and grin and bear the pain?

If your seeing occupational health, talk to them about what your job entails how it would effect you etc.
Last thing you would want is to pick something up, your shoulder give way or something and end up dropping something on yourself or someone else.
you can't stay off sick indefinatley.

My Mum has had a frozen shoulder, she still has minor problems with it, but with Physio she's managed to improve the muscles so that she can get on with normal day to day things. but she still can't lift anything too heavy.

My advice would be to work out what you can do with the Oc Health, and what could make things worse, then discuss it with your boss (if you have a union or something similar I'd advice taking them along) and check where you stand legally.
