Side back pain, under rib, uncomfortable?

i have had this uncomfortable pain in my right side for over 7 months now. i went to the doctor a while back and he said it is probarbly a result of having a crooked spine. but tonight it has started on my left side. it makes me move around alot. its sort of like a knot under my rib. it continues to my front rib and up to my shoulder some days.
please help, and give me any answers!

There are usually two explanations for this kind of pain. One, the posture you have adopted when you are sleeping caused by having pillows raised too high and stretching one side of the body, and the other can be caused by a weight stress on the upper body. Both of these can be checked and if you change your sleeping posture and check your weight, I'm fairly sure these can help. I don't believe it is anything serious for two reasons. First, it has been seven months and you are still around and functional and second, the pain is not localised which gives possible credence to the posture problem, which is muscular.
