What to do about this back ache?!

What to do about this back ache?
I thought I had a bug with a high fever, shivering, etc. I did end up being hospitalized, but my main problem is the back ache that started when I was shivering so badly. It's been over a month now and I am still suffering with this low back pain, actually in the buttocks. Is there anything I can do for relief? I have been to the Dr. and put on muscle relaxers, but did not work. I am so discouraged as it hurts the most!! Please give me ideas to try as this really holds me down.
Oh, I do have a kidney stone lodged in place but they all tell me this pain is not from that. It is right over the buttocks are.
