Question: Did I sprain my ankle?
I rested up a bit and I was pretty much fine, but getting up this morning my ankle feels sore - especially moving it to the side, again.
Answers:
It sounds like it's healing, but you should follow the RICE method.
R- Rest (and I mean no running, no jumping, and not too much pressure on your injured foot. As little walking as you can manage.)
I- Ice (wrapped so it's not too cold)
C- Compression. Wrap your ankle in a bandage tightly, but not too tightly. Just so that it's tight but won't cut off your blood circulation.
E- Elevate. When sleeping, resting, or even sitting, grab a chair or pillow and set your foot so that it's on a higher than your body.
go easy on it a few days, if it doesn't improve see a doctor about an x ray, meanwhile rest, ice, compression (wrap with ace bandage) and elevation (above heart level). pain can be caused by swelling so RICE, to keep pain to a minimum.
