Dislocated and fractured knee cap along with chipped patella?

just recently about 5 weeks ago i dislocated my knee cap when i fell down from the pain i started shaking and it went back into place its self.. i then couldnt walk and my knee started swelling so i went to the emergency room and they told me what happened which i already said and put me on crutches and my leg in an immoblizer. then they sent me to a orthopedic, then after we went there they put me in a leg cast for 6 weeks and i got it off today. my leg is very week and floppy. i cant control it hardly at all. im scared to bend it because it feels so different. it stil has a little pain when i bend it back to suddenly and it still looks kinda swollen as well. i start physical therapy for it in the next week or so is there anything wrong or is all this normal?

This sounds completely normal. You haven't used those muscles like usually do in a long time and they are already pretty weak. When you go to physical therapy they should recommend icing it and they will start you on a series of exercises to regain your strength. Pretty soon this will all be a distant memory. Do your home exercises that they will give you! This will ensure the quickest recovery. Don't worry though, what you are feeling is to be expected. God bless! I pray for your quick recovery.
