What causes sore throats?!?!

Question: What causes sore throats?!?
My throat hurts really bad:( why did I get it?

Answers:

Sore throats are caused by tight neck muscles pressing into your throat. You could have chilled your neck muscles at some point to make them tighten up to press into your throat like that. To get rid of the pressure on your throat making it sore you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to free them up:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

A sore throat is caused by either an infection or irritation of the throat. An infection can be by bacteria or a virus, and most cases will resolve themselves without treatment. Occasionally OTC treatments or antibiotics may be needed, dependant on the infection. Irritation can be caused by lots of things, such as smoking, hayfever or other allergies, acid reflux and some reactions to medication or treatment. Again treatment depends on the reason for the sore throat.

You could have strep throat which is bacteria in your throat, and it is more serious then you think. If your throat does not feel better in 3 days, go see your doctor so he could prescribe an antibiotic, and take them as prescribed and every one of them or the bacteria will build a resistance to that particular antibiotic.
Also if you have been yelling allot lately such as at a sporting event, it will also cause your throat to feel sore.
