Spider Bite!!!?!

Question:

Spider Bite!!!?

Today, I woke up with a big bump next to my ear. It is very painful to the touch and is hard. All day, i have been tired and I fell very weak. I have had a headache and a stomach ache. I have also had dizziness and I fell lightheaded. I have been at my aunt's hous, which she just moved into and there has been no one living in it for monthes, and there were spiders everywhere. Is this serious, or nothing to worry about?

Answers:

There are only two poisonous spiders in the United States, the brown recluse and the black widow. Both seek dark places to hide and typically build webs and live between a wall and other items. Which is why it's important to wear gloves when moving boxes in a basement.

The Brown recluse causes the skin to turn black and die around the center bite area. You would notice this pretty quickly.

The Black Widow's bite is relatively painless, so it's less noticeable. It's effects peak at around 3-4 hours after the bite and the symptoms of severe nervous system pain will last about 1-2 days.

But, the interesting things about these two spiders are that they are not aggressive. They typically run from noises, and most reported bites have been from spiders caught in clothing that was left on the floor in a dark room before being worn. It's very unsual and unlikely that either of these spiders bite a person in their sleep.

It's probably just coincidental with a pimple that developed overnight from lying on that side of your head and dehydration. Try drinking more water.
