Is anybody else tired of those scrubs that nurses wear?

Maybe this isn’t the place for my hollow concern, but there is something that just gnaws at my sensibility.
. First off I respect what you do and I have seen first hand the sacrifices some of you have accepted to fulfill your dreams. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998 and have since been hospitalized on numerous occasions. My appointments are always at the hospital and I have averaged about 30 per year. I have never been treated unfairly or disrespectfully. However…what happened to the professional appearance of past, or some such surrogate? I’m not sure whom to point distaste at, the administration or the individual. During one of my extended hospital stays, I was awaken in the middle of the night to have my vitals checked, the problem was, I wasn’t sure if it was a nurse or janitor.
They all wear those dumpy looking scrubs. It doesn’t seem to matter if they are fresh out of the dryer, or even ironed, they look hideous. They make an otherwise professional look like

We wear the scrubs because we feel comfortable in them. We are not the nurses that used to wear the white uniform with the black shoes-kind of tall heals. We want to be comfortable in the scrubs we wear because we are multitasking from one patient to another and doctor to doctor and room to room. At the end of the day our feet hurt and it helps us if we wear plain white shoes or sneakers we like. We are on our feet probably about 12 hours a day. We are still the same nurse with the compassionate,caring and our well being of the patients.
