Is there any way to quickly and completely alleviate nausea associated with indi!

Question:

Is there any way to quickly and completely alleviate nausea associated with indigestion?

I get indigestion occasionally, and almost every time I get a lot of shaking, with nausea (and eventually vomiting if I don't take an antacid or something). If I vomit, all symptoms go away immediately and I feel better. Problem is, I don't _want_ to vomit because I hate that feeling! So, anyone with similar issues who knows a virtually guaranteed way to quell nausea quickly? I have an anti-nausea syrup but it tastes funky and takes 15 mins to a half-hour to work.

Answers:

try some mint! either in leaf form that you can chew on or what i find that works is i just keep hard candy mints on hand (in purse or pocket) and when ever i start to feel sick i pop one in my mouth and suck on it til the feeling passes or it dissolves. best thing is nothing bad is going to happen, and it has a pleasant taste, i personally don't like ginger (but hey to each his/her own).

if things get really bad try and get your doctor to prescribe you some phenergan (promethazine-generic).

hope this helps
