I have filled for disability and have been denied?!

Question:

accually my statement says i will recieve 900 a month which is the same that i was making when i worked full time.
and 2nd too mr mike down there that is very rude. i have worked since i was 14 40 to 80 hours a week so no i am not a loser nor lazy. it is very easy for someone to judge when they have no clue. my spine is damaged the doctor has me restricted on many things that i can do or i will have to keep having back surgeries. and i am no ******* wimp anyone who has had multiple ruptured disc in there back and had to have surgery knows this. that is some of the worst freaking pain ever. when you can't even get out of bed or use the restroom because the pain is so excrusiating. i wouldn't want my worst enemy to have severe back problems. not even you mr mike who thinks he knows everything.

I'm on disability now, but one doctor said to me that you have to be on your death bed to be approved the first time for the most part.

Same thing is true for the appeal. A disability granted at this stage isn't often. I think it's the SSA way of separating the 'men from the boys.' The ones who are really serious, who will persist.

Sounds like you're truly unable to work, so don't feel badly about getting an attorney. If you're at the attorney stage, you've likely given them much information; but make sure you attorney has ALL the info you've given the SSA.

The best thing, though it's easier said than done, is to relax and take one day at a time. Take detailed notes and make sure all your physicians will support a disability. You need to meet social security's criteria, not just your doctors.

At this stage (administrative law judge), your friend's, family, previous coworkers letters can make MUCH difference; sort of like testimonials as to what you used to be able to do and how you've changed.
