How can i stop staying up so late?!

Question: How can i stop staying up so late?
I love to stay up late at night. Usually on weekends I stay up till around 12:30 a.m. On school nights I will probably stay up till 11 p.m. on average. On school nights I'm usually exhausted in the morning. How can I go to bed earlier? Are there any tactics that makes you sleepy? I'm a twelve-year-old girl, by the way. I will be 13 in August. I know I am not getting enough sleep. Sorry if this is the wrong category.

It's pretty easy if you can do this, make sure you shut off the TV, cellphone, ipod, computer, games, anything electronic that you can watch or play with. Also make the room dark at least 1 hour before bedtime, maybe a small lamp. Read a little or listen to some relaxing music quietly. A dark room will promote your brain to start producing melatonin which makes you sleepy. Also avoid pop, tea, coffee anything with caffeine in it 2-3 hours before bed.

works for me.

Just go to bed earlier - You are (almost) 13 - use a little self-discipline and go to bed 30 minutes earlier for a week - until you are getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night -
You are doing this to yourself - and it will impact your school work and health eventually -
Grow-up and be responsible for yourself a little (get your own alarm clock to set to get up, too!!) - You will soon be in high school - your "mommy" shouldn't have to wake you up!!

The key is to make sure you get up at the same time every day, no matter how much sleep you got the night before. Be strict with yourself. After a week of getting up at six AM, you won't be able to stay up late.

Only use your bed for sleep. This will associate your bed with sleep in your brain. Do not read or watch TV in bed.

Don't go to bed until you're tired. If you're not asleep within fifteen minutes, get up and go into another room for a while and then return to bed and try again. Repeat if necessary.

Start "Backing Up" your Bedtime by 15 Minutes- every other Night. -Until You finally wake up when YOU want to- the next Morning. Because the EASIER you make it to "stay up late", the HARDER it's going to be to get up the next Day- OR get enough Sleep- altogether !! :(

Reality.

try getting up earlier
