Birth control prescription without health insurance?!

Question:

Birth control prescription without health insurance?

I dont have health insurance and I really need to buy some birth control pills now. What can I do to have the prescription ? I'm a college student and unemployed.

Answers:

The person who mentioned samples is right. Most doctors will give you samples, at least for a few months. Planned parenthood or another clinic like it (it's called Adagio health in my area) has a sliding scale. Meaning the less money you make, the less you pay. If you are very low income, you may get the pill and your regular office visits for free. Once I started making over about $20,000 they no longer gave me a discount. But since you're unemployed and a college student, it will be free or close to it.
