Why does it hurt beneath my knee cap?!

Question: Why does it hurt beneath my knee cap?
I am very active - I exercise 3 times a week and I have a job full time outside that involves lots of physical activity - (raking, planting, mowing lawns, trimming trees.etc - anything that is garden related) Anyway, just today at work I felt - what I think is a muscle between my shin and my knee cap tighten. It is when that muscle tightens, that I feel as though there is something sharp
under my knee cap. It is extremely painful whenever I walk up/down the stairs, anything that involves bending the knee.

Do you guys know what causes this - and what kind of problem it is? Because, I'm absolutely clueless about it and I've never had this pain before. Keep this in mind, I ALWAYS stretch and do a warm up before any exercise.

Thanks!!

Answers:

You could have torn your maniscus. Regardless of whether you stretch or not, you could still injusre the maniscus if you don't apply the correct stretch. The pain under the knee is also a sympton of a torn maniscus. Even if you never felt it tear, it could still be torn. You can still exercise, just avoid using flexing your thighs parallel to the ground or lower. Hope this helps.

I once did too many squats so i had this throb in my knees, probably muscular overexertion--you are overworking your muscles/cartilage/bones, knees, basically, so take a break, don't do so much exercise for a day or two, take as long as you need. the tightening could be that you twisted or sprained something, maybe a muscle you don't use to much, then its aching at the end.

Go see your chiropractor, you might need orthodox
