Pain & Swelling in big toe?
I have pain & swelling just under where the nail is.. it doesn't hurt on the sides, just the bottom of the nail on the inside (and it seems like it's a bit swelled up compared to my other foot as well..)
I put some antibiotic cream on it in the meantime, but what could it be? It doesn't really hurt unless I press it down, but it's quite uncomfortable with shoes on.

I went to a doctor and he ended up doing a nail surgery to get the ingrown nail out, which happened to be just under where you start seeing the nail bed.
It kind of stings now, but at least the pressure is off and the toe isn't as red anymore... the swelling is still there, but he said that's normal and with the antibiotics and gel he gave me it should go down.

Sounds like you have an ingrown toenail, you need to trim your nails and file them smooth, the nail edge is cutting into your skin. Soak them first, it makes it easier to trim.
