Does anyone have some advice for a sport injury?!

Question: Does anyone have some advice for a sport injury?
I have ran all my life since I was 17 and im 48 now. My knees have suffered over the years but over the past 6 weeks I have had an ache in my ankle that I foolishly ignored. The pain travelled up my leg to my hip and again I went out for a very slow jog. I wish I hadn't because the next evening my hip swelled up (I haven't ran since - 9 days) but all the aching is still there and a slight swelling on my hip. I know that I need to rest it which im doing and to put ice on it etc, but does anyone know whether I should go and see my GP or will this pass? Is it more than an injury?

Answers:

Unfortunately since your knees and ankle wee aching and injured, you sub consciously began to jog and putting all of the weight and burden on your hip, and it sounds like you may have did permanent damage to your hip. Please go to your doctor ASAP and have him check your hip out, and while you ae there have him check your knees and ankles so perhaps you could begin to jog again once al of your joints are medically cleared.

Good Luck!

You of this phenomenon is the slight thigh muscle strain, I like to play football the same way, too strained, do not eat anything you do not take up the hospital, his friends doing the muscle Cen, and then doing the massage parlors themselves do not have to can,8 --- 10 days to rest almost, remember to exercise must be done before the warm-up exercises, such as stretching, standing leg and so on, this is my little personal experience.

I hate to tell you this....but I strongly suspect this is the result of long-term damage. Yes, you need to rest it and take anti-inflamatories until all the discomfort has passed. If nothing has changed after the week-end, then, yes - go and see your GP. If there is a small fracture there, it would need to be dealt with. (a fractured bone in the ankle would make you compensate your posture, which is probably why your hip is painful.)

Go to a doctor immediatley. You dont know the full extent of the injury. It could be more than you just think. Just go asap

You dont want to end up like me. 2 years ago, i was involved in a football accident. I did think any of it would affect me, but still 2 year later, i can barely play football properly and now my career could be ruined before it has started. All because i didnt think anything of it :/
