What's the cause and cure of a fluid buildup behind one knee?
I'm a generally active person, I run, lift, and bike--I'm 28, and eat a healthy diet. Lately I've noticed a fluid buildup behind my right knee only, and I don't know what it's from. I have no previous issues with my knees or with fluid buildups, and I don't remember injuring my knee. What could be the cause and cure of this?

cause is uncertain. my knees started doing that 5 years ago and i just had my first mri on my right knee due to pain and swelling. i get the results from my Doc tomorrow. for now , you could take an anti inflammatory such as advil and ice it at night when you can take time ,,, ( ice it more often if you have time throughout the day but for only about 20 minutes at a time) oh , and by the way , they have never drained the fluid off my knees . it is very painful and unless it is necessary they don't do it
