How long does it take for an MRI of your abdomen?
I had a ct scan done awhile back and it showed i had a lesion on my small intestine and then i had a small bowel follow through done and it showed nothing. So now my doctor wants me to do an mri and my gastro doctor wants me to do another ct because he saw something on the ct film and wants to do another one. If you have any feeback let me know please.

MRI's take about 45 minutes. They are very noisy (the magnets make a hammering sound) and the environment is, for some people, claustrophobic. Some people need a little Valium or Ativan to get through it, but most people don't. It's not painful at all.
